8 cups finely chopped cabbage
1/4 cup finely shredded carrot
1/2 cup good quality mayonnaise
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 ½ tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ½ tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup finely shredded carrot
1/2 cup good quality mayonnaise
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
1/4 cup buttermilk
2 ½ tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ½ tablespoon white vinegar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Methods/steps
Combine finely chopped cabbage and carrot in a large bowl. Set aside. Combine mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, lemon juice, vinegar, salt and pepper. Gently beat with a wire whisk until smooth. Slowly stir in cabbage and carrot mixture in small handfuls until all is incorporated, and covered with dressing mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for two and a half hours. Stir gently before serving.
Additional Tips
Sprinkle chopped parsley on to to add color.
