Korean Barbecued Beef Marinade
Description
Korean Barbecued Beef, known as Bulgogi, is one of the most popular ways of cooking beef in Korea. Prime meat is marinated with a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic and other ingredients. Sometimes noodles are added to the dish, which varies by region. The marinade enhances the flavor and tenderness of the beef.

3 Tbs soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
2 Tbs water
2 Tbs rice wine (or sherry)
1 Tbs toasted, ground sesame seeds
1 Tbs finely chopped green onion
1 tsp chilli paste
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp grated ginger
1 Tbs palm sugar (or brown)
2 tsp sesame oil
2 Tbs water
2 Tbs rice wine (or sherry)
1 Tbs toasted, ground sesame seeds
1 Tbs finely chopped green onion
1 tsp chilli paste
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp grated ginger
1 Tbs palm sugar (or brown)
Methods/steps
Mix everything and use as a marinade for thinly sliced sirloin or other prime cut of beef..
Reserve some marinade to use as dipping sauce.
Grill meat to desired doneness. Let sit about 5 minutes, then slice to serve.
